Playing for Change version of Stevie Wonder's Higher Ground
Playing For Change started off as a project by Mark Johnson in 2009 as he travelled the world recording and filming street buskers, on a mission to inspire connections through music. Once edited together, the sounds and images became tracks built up across timelines and borders, and captured musicians who had never met jamming together. Since then the video for ‘Stand By Me’ has notched up over 30 million views and Playing For Change has become an educational foundation responsible for opening seven music schools for children in South Africa, Nepal, Ghana, Mali and Rwanda.
