Taken in winter time in a arid area of the Canadian Rockies. Temperatures where below -30 degrees Celsius, yet because there was no snow fall, the surface of the lake was uncovered, allowing a clear view of the bubbles (gas release from the lake bed) that were trapped in the frozen waters.

Beautiful pics of a lake i visit each year. in the summer it is green /blue color from glacier waters. i am sending you my pic taken on Aug 2011 although i did not have my camera date set you will know it was not Feb 2011
