marine species including bluefin tuna, blue and white marlin, sailfish
and other prized game fish. Those species and more face a significant
threat from surface longline fishing gear. The Pew Environment Group is
working with conservation and sport fishing organizations to stop
surface longline fishing in the Gulf and promote alternative sustainable
fishing gear. Ending this indiscriminate and wasteful fishing practice
