Come face-to-face with portraits of endangered species and confront who we are pushing off the planet. Joel Sartore is trying to photograph as many endangered species as possible using a portable studio with black and white backgrounds, in zoos, in private collections and in the field. Some of these species are no longer exist out in the wild. Joel started on the project five years back after reading an essay on amphibian decline. He realized he needed to show these threatened species to the world before they were gone forever.
